A Narrative Rock Opera
A Crow leaves.
A Fawn waits.
A garden learns what happens when both mistake hunger for devotion.
Ten movements. Two perspectives. One little kingdom built from almost, maybe, and not yet.
A KINGDOM BUILT FROM WAITING
The Crow’s Little Kingdom began as a short story about an unpleasant bird.
It did not remain one.
The story expanded into a narrative rock opera about Crow and Fawn, two creatures attempting to make a home inside a relationship neither entirely understands.
Crow disappears because distance feels like freedom.
Fawn waits because return feels like proof.
Between them, ordinary things begin acquiring impossible weight: a lamp becomes a promise, a gate becomes a verdict, a cup becomes evidence, silence becomes language, and a garden slowly becomes a kingdom.
The opera does not ask which creature was innocent.
It asks what happens when affection, fear, power, memory, and need become difficult to separate.
The story ends. The garden does not.
THE FOX AT THE EDGE OF THE GARDEN
The performance has ended.
Someone returns anyway.
The three Postludes move beyond Crow and Fawn and into the landscape left behind: abandoned objects, conflicting memories, reconstructed histories, and the strange human need to continue explaining something long after it has stopped asking for explanation.

The Fox Leaves No Footprints

Lyrics · Essays · And Other Truths
The companion volume to The Crow’s Little Kingdom and The Fox at the Edge of the Garden: Three Postludes.
Field Notes collects the complete lyrical text of the work alongside a reader-facing critical examination of its

It is not an instruction manual for what the story means.
It is a record of what can be found there.
